Michael Savage reluctantly gives up

As some of you may be aware, Michael Savage, aka Michael Alan Weiner, was persuing a lawsuit against a CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) for copyright infringement and conspiracy to commit terrorist acts.

His case a couple of months ago was thrown out of court but was given the opportunity to rewrite his lawsuit to make it a little more believable to achieve his ultimate goal.

Savage has lost about $1 million in advertisements since CAIR has decided to boycott his show and attempt to get him to lose sponsorship. Their reasoning for doing so is because of Savages hateful speeches about the Quran being a hateful story and a story of slavery and his negative comments about Islam.

He recently gave up his fight and his lawyer has given up as well in fear of safety for his client. What exactly that means I'll leave to your imagination.

Quite frankly, this writers opinon on the situation is... KEEP fighting Savage. I know you're far too colorful for your own good but that doesn't mean you're not right most of the time. A lot of Americans, even those who are soft spoken or hiding in the shadows, are 100% behind you and wish you to push on.

Every intelligent American in this country knows that we have extremists living within our own borders. With borders as open as ours, we would be foolish to think otherwise. If we can't fight fire with fire then we need to fight fire with the law.

There has been a lot of controversy on whether Michael Phelps won his 7th gold medal in the Beijing Olympics games, 100m Butterfly, or if he grabbed a silver.

I, myself, even questioned if he won. Cavic was clearly in the lead with inches to go and I watched replays over and over and as much as I love Michael Phelps, I had to go with Cavic on this one.

Thankfully to technology the truth reveals itself.

You can clearly see that Michael Phelps' (left of picture) fingers are fully bent backwards from touching the wall. Cavic's hands are still fully extended. This is a clear picture that the technology under scrutiny is accurate to the one one-hundredth of a second.

Michael Phelps is truly remarkable in what he does. He's been getting a tremendous amount of flak from spectators in the world, competitors in his sport and the media for being "too good". Cavic even went so far as to say that he thought it would be good for Michael Phelps and swimming in general if he lost. There was even one American swimmer who was a bit jealous of his coverage because it made her (and others) feel inferior, like their accomplishments were nothing.

Granted Michael Phelps is overshadowing his fellow teammates and fellow Olympians but honestly he deserves it. Why do we teach our children if they work hard enough they can achieve anything they want and can obtain any dream they have if we're going to ridicule them for being too good?

Work hard but not too hard Michael! We don't to offend others by your super-human abilities.

I even read an article yesterday (early this morning) that suggests that Michael Phelps has an edge over other athletes because he's doping. No, not that kind of doping. The kind where his iPod he's always listening to creates extra blood flow and improves oxygen levels giving him an unfair advantage over the other athletes. I think it's time to ban iPods and sue Apple!

Did you notice that Michael Phelps wears earphones and is listening music just before his every Olympic start, at Beijing’s Olympiad Water Cube pool deck, be it finals or semifinals? … Phelps removed earphones 2 minutes before the start, and he was the only swimmer who worn earphones at the pool deck. Intriguing scientific evidence testifies: Listening to music improves blood oxygen capacity and is a performance enhancement.

The only thing I can really say is congrats Michael. There will always be skeptics and haters in every aspect of life. Congrats on being the most hard working and level headed kid. And a very early congrats on being the best Olympian in the history of the world.

Georgian President runs for cover

This is how intense the situation is.

Granted Georgia is a small, small country compared to Russia. But imagine if you were living in Memphis, Tennessee and your country is under attack and you turn on the television. On that tube you see President George Bush guarded by 50 heavily trained and armed guards.

Some foreign planes fly over head of the white house and George Bush scrambles for his motorcade to take him to the airport and hop on Air Force One. You hear screaming and shouting and automatic fire.

This is what it has to be like for the Georgians. Earlier, not on my blog, I made a joke that the Russians were after our peaches when this thing first broke out. (yes a very poor joke) But I pray for each Georgian. Not only for their lives but for their way of life.

You can call the Americans hypocritical for invading Iraq and setting up a Democracy, like they've done in Afghanistan, Germany, whatever. But that's completely different from what the Russians want to accomplish. Georgians will be assimilated back into the Russian populace and they wont have the freedom to elect like Iraq, Afghanistan, and those countries like them have. They will be met with death, hunger. They will become poorer and scared of their invaders.

Things in Iraq haven't gone the way they should have. War is not pretty. It never is, but the Russians will have no remorse and will rule with an iron hammer and sickle.

US Boxer out of the Olympics

Already a sad note for Team USA Boxing. Gary Russell Jr., expected to be a medal contender passed out earlier before weigh-ins.

Russell Jr. was attempting to weigh in at 119 lbs, when he's been fighting at 125 lbs. Coaches have noticed that he's been sweating less and his recent collapse is assumed to be due to dehydration. An Intravenous was inserted into the athlete and he is feeling much better. Although he's very depressed, he just wants to go home.

This comes as a big blow to Team USA Boxing since they're already bringing a team that is very small. A team which hasn't been this small since the 1948 London games.

Russia Invades Georgia

No... Not Georgia in the United States. But just wow. I know tensions are always tough between Russia and the countries who have broken apart from the former soviet union but I just didn't see this one coming. Probably do to my own blindness to the region.

Georgia's president said today that his country is under attack by Russian tanks and warplanes, and he accused Russia of targeting civilians as tensions over the breakaway Georgian region of South Ossetia appeared to boil over into full-blown conflict. The United States is calling for an immediate cease-fire.

I find it extremely hypocritical that the United States is calling for a cease fire. I mean, it's sweet and all but honestly, we invade two countries, one of which Russia invaded once before but now we have the right to tell another country that they should cease all military actions?

Is it really THAT bad?

Why yes, yes it is.

Yesterday my friend The Pajama Pundit brought up his point of view on the whole "apology" from cyclists who got off a plane when landing in China wearing smog masks.

The Chinese government was very offended and the cyclists were forced to give an apology for being concerned about their health which showed "great disrespect" to the Chinese government and all their hard work and years spent on cleaning up the pollution.

So I asked myself, since I don't live in Beijing, is it really that bad?

This brought me to a youtube clip after a few seconds of "intense" research. Although the clip here at CNN is much worse and only a few days ago, this video below shows you just how bad the pollution is in Beijing, China.

Should the cyclists have apologized? Not a chance in hell. But who knows, you should respect those who don't respect other humans, am I right?

And in a somewhat related story, an athlete had his visa revoked by the Chinese. It's the writer that makes this story worth while.

Olympic gold medalist and outspoken Darfur activist Joey Cheek has had his visa revoked by the Chinese embassy, hours before the speedskating champion was set to fly to China. And he wasn't even planning on wearing a mask when he got there.

So how can you turn a bad year into a good one? Easy, go to Goodyear.

It's no secret to some that being a stay at home father means sacrificing some things. There is only one car, one parent working, one income. So money isn't always available when you need it the most.

It's been a very difficult year and at times things only look to get worse when your economy is getting as bad as it is. But sometimes there's just people out there that make a bad year into a good one.

My tire on my driver side was extremely bad and I've been limping it along to my wife's work and my kids school for the past couple of weeks. Thankfully my wife works about 2 miles from the house and the kids are about the same distance in the other direction.

Goodyear was kind enough to not only fill my tire with air over the past week but to give me a used "new" tire for no charge until we get paid on Saturday.

Here's the kicker to some. The entire facility is filled with Iranians. So for those who think that all Iranians are nothing but horrible people who are hell bent on the destruction of the world... you may want to look at the people a little closer.

Granted there are people who are in control of that country who are relatively dangerous for many of those around them, but so is this countries leaders.

So thank you to those nice men and woman at Goodyear.

Why can't we connect the dots?

It seems that the M.O. (Modus Operandi) for Vice President Dick Cheney is at it again. A recent story was released about where VP Cheney was so determined to start a war with Iran that he wanted to build PT cruiser boats like the ones Iran use and pack them full of Navy SEALs and have them attack American vessels that pass through the Strait of Hormuz just like an event.

So why can't we look beyond this and maybe, as a collective, start to realize that September 11th could have been staged? For anyone who isn't a "conspiracy theorist" you have to see some major holes in the story. It happened before, in the Gulf of Tonkin near Vietnam which was the deciding factor to go that was similar a few months ago.into Vietnam.

Like what? No plane wreckage found near the Pentagon. The size of the initial hole on the side of the pentagon were not the size of a 747 that was supposedly crashed into it. There have been Hundreds of hours of the same footage being replayed over and over with the Twin Towers being hit by planes, but none of the footages that prove a plane hit the pentagon have been released. It goes on and on.

Look, I'm by no means a conspiracy theorist. But I do look at the facts and make my best educational guess. A lot of things don't add up.

So what if we did stage the 9/11 attacks? Or prep for the attacks or what if we just let them happen? It amazes me that we can impeach Clinton for a B.J. but we won't dare impeach Clinton or Cheney for lying to the American Public and staging attacks against their own people.

1992 Dream Team

For a short period of time every four years we are blessed to be able to watch the best America has to offer for the Olympic Basketball Team.

When it comes to the Olympics my competitive mode kicks in, my chest swells with pride and I may even get a little misty eyed. Not just for Basketball but for all events. Volleyball, swimming, diving, etc.

I set my alarm extra, extra early this morning to watch the last exhibition match before the first game of the Beijing Olympics between Team USA and Australia. After a 21 point win against Team Russia, the Americans were considered "off" and sadly, even though we won by 21 I would have to agree. Australia was much of the same.

So this definitely kicked me into nostalgia mode and I hit up youtube and searched for the 1992 Dream Team with players such as Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, the list goes on and on!

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the 2008 Basketball team. I think we're light years ahead of the competition. But when I watch these young kids perform I don't see the same passion, showmanship, and pride as we saw in 1992.

That doesn't mean that these guys lack it. I know they're very patriotic and determined to bring in the best games for our country to make us fellow Americans proud.

I basically want to see every member of the NBA (minus those who are from foreign countries of course) DIE for the chance to not only make the US Team but put on the kind of show that MJ and company did in the early 90s.

Definitely get used to the next three weeks of me talking about the Olympics in all events. I love this stuff. Enjoy a nice highlight clip from those amazing players we all loved so much.

Translate Server Error

I'm sure everyone has seen those funny pictures on the internet where the translations for restaurants have gone wrong. For example:

"Please open this door hardly"

A McDonald's Sign that reads, "Thanks for calling"

and so on.

Well this one probably takes the cake. A Chinese restaurant has used an online translator to name their store. "Translate Server Error" was the name that was generated.

We're not sure what kind of dishes they serve up at "Translate Server Error" - but we have no doubt it would be a smorgasboard of "404 page not found" fried rice, and "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer" with Honey Soy Chicken.

As most of you may know Verne Troyer or more commonly known as "Mini-me" in Austin Powers has been apart of a sex tape scandal and joins the ranks of Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton.

Now this isn't the part that I find funny. What I find interesting is the major role reversal here. As mini-me goes to court and battles the evil doers who want to profit of his sex tape, he's doing everything in his power to make sure no one sees him in the act.

And on the other side of the pillow (no pun intended) his ex-girlfriend doesn't care if people see the tape and she's trying to make a little profit off of it.

Now if I was a man like Verne, I'd boast to all my buddies about a girl I shagged (lol). And if I was the ex-girlfriend I'd do everything in my power to make sure no one saw this embarrassing event. Maybe the tripod assumption from the third movie was accurate? I can tell you that I'll never know that little fact (zing!).

My greatest fear

So last night I stayed up REALLY LATE watching the USA Basketball team play Russia. It was a great game but I was up until 4 am. I will be like that for the next 3 weeks while I watch the USA team bring glory back to America in international play.

Anyway, it's about 10 am and I haven't slept much as you can imagine. All of a sudden I hear my kids say they see a crab in the bathroom. I was half asleep so I mostly ignore this. My wife was awake and went to see what was going on. It turns out that there was a hairy desert scorpion, or Hadrurus arizonensis pallidus for the technical nuts that may grace my page. I'm sure most reading this would be like, so what? It's a non lethal scorpion to humans. But then I'd have to respond by screaming like a little girl - so get off my back about it!

So I went into combat mode because my wife definitely wasn't going to get rid of the scorpion. I grabbed my sons Cars slippers and shoved my toes in there as far as it could go. Then I grabbed my Etnies sandals and rammed my hands into them like I was some surfer warrior and slowly snuck into the bathroom.

The battle itself was anticlimactic but it was my first encounter with said desert demon spawn from hell and I did not like it.

And on an after thought while I was searching google for a good image of a scorpion to post in this blog I came across not only my number one fear but my number two fear all in the same picture. A Scorpion and a Naked French man. That's right, it's an anti AIDs ad where a naked french man is having sex with a scorpion on his back with his venomous tail pointing at the mans head. OH GOD it's spooky.

Well, I have to start off by saying how creepily romantic, right?

First off, I have to say, although it may be a little creepy to some, I think it was a pretty smooth move in a very nerdy way. Being a nerd myself, I'd definitely do something like this. Although the fury wife may object to something of this nature.

Well after finding her, they removed themselves from the public eye to concentrate on the relationship. Unfortunately the relationship only lasted two months. I feel bad for the man, but things seem to be working out great from the Australian born beauty. She's been spotted in a daytime soap opera and as a "wait, was that her?" two second glimpse in the new hit movie, Sex and the City.

...ohhhhh, stay tuned! We still don't know. I'll be the first to say that I'm highly interested in who is willing to place their name side by side with John McCain. Not saying that Senator McCain is a bad guy, because he's not. But he's very pro war in a country that's aggressively heading towards anti-war and anti-George Bush by the day.

An announcement is most likely set to be made before the Olympics start on August 8th which puts us a little over a week for that news and this blogger will definitely be glued to the information tube waiting to see who it is. Will it help sail his ship to the Presidency or will it sink it? It's a very sticky situation and I do wish him the best of luck because he's going to need it against Barack Obama.

The sad truth is, Americans are easily controlled by what they see on the Media. Americans are intelligent enough to make their own decisions. They're not complete mindless drones who walk to the poles like zombies. Although some would beg to differ.

I just can't see policy and ideas being more powerful then Super Barackstardom. I was under that assumption when I was pushing hard for Dr. Ron Paul. I am still a 100% supporter of Dr. Paul and will do whatever I can for my fight for liberty and the Republic.

I was reading an article yesterday where it talked about John McCain's trips overseas like the one we're seeing with Barack Obama. No reporters go with McCain and only one reporter would show up for his return. For the senator from Illinois the story is much different. They had 40 seats on the plane to offer reporters and not only did they fill it but they had over 200 requests from top reporters all over the country who all wanted to tag along. Is it a little too much? yes, but you can't buy this kind of power.

The Best of luck to the Republicans this year. When will the party find it's way again and go back to their roots?

Super Pii Pii for the Wii Wii

The Japanese never cease to amaze me. All sorts of weird inventions and ideas come from Japan that, thanks to the internet, never stop me from saying, "wtf?!". I love inventions and especially Japanese inventions because they're so interesting but some are absolutely crazy.

If the Hay Fever Hat invention wasn't weird enough, or the Solar Power Lighter (Sounds Polish doesn't it?), or the 10 in 1 Gardening Tool (a 5 foot swiss army knife complete with Shovel, Hoe, Rake, etc).

The ever popular Nintendo Wii and the Japanese have given birth to another gem. The Super Pii Pii Brothers for the Wii. I can't say much more than just WOW. Maybe if I practice more the Fury wife will have less to complain to me about? hrm...

The Theory of Everything

I've recently been studying a lot of physics, theoretical physics and quantum mechanics. I'm of course by no means a physicist or anything of that sort. Not to say I cannot be one if I worked for it. I'm a very intelligent individual and I love science of all forms.

The most recent of my studies has been on The String Theory. I'm a little embarrassed to say, for any physicists reading this (which I highly doubt - haha), that I've never heard of the string theory before. I'm sure that may not come to a shock since it's still in theory form and a lot of people needed decades to get warmed up to the idea. Although I'm finding it highly fascinating.

so you may be asking yourselves, "WHAT are you talking about Omni Blogger?". Well let me break it down the best that I can.

In the last remaining years of Albert Einstein's life he made it his life mission to combine the four fundamentals of the universe into one theory which are as follows: Einsteins Theory of Relativity (or simply Gravity), Strong Nuclear Force (or Strong Force), Weak Nuclear Force (or Weak Force) and Electromagnetism (EM - or known as Electricity and Magnetism)

Unfortunately Albert Einstein was unable to combine his Theory of Relativity with the three other fundamental forces of nature, Weak Force, Strong Force and EM.

Why does that matter you might ask? who really cares? Gee - you ask a lot of questions! Well physicist use these 4 fundamentals to answer questions about our universe and what it's really like. If you can tie all 4 into one working theory instead of two separate ones then you can answer even more questions about the universe that maybe you didn't know. The possibilities could be endless for our space travel.

Well to get to the meat and potatoes of my post, it has believed that the String Theory is the answer that Albert Einstein was looking for. Strings are smaller than atoms and there are an infinite number of them in our universe, vibrating and giving characteristics to everything in this universe. They are so small that if you took an atom and increased the size of that atom to the size of our solar system, a string would be the size of a tree on Earth. It's that small!

The resource I've been using has also given me the best explanation I've ever heard regarding the four dimensions of our universe (yes, there are most likely or most definitely more but for hundreds of years there were thought to be only four). To really visualize the four dimensions of the universe we should place it in terms we can understand.

If you have a meeting on Jones Street and Brookes Avenue on the 3rd floor at 2pm you can easily understand the four dimensions. Jones street, running front and back is the first dimension. Brookes Avenue running left to right is the second dimension. The 3rd floor, running up and down is the 3rd dimension which gives us our three spatial dimensions. And then of course the time, 2pm which is our temporal dimension.

If any of you have watched the movie Stargate and you can remember them needing three points to draw up a destination and a fourth point for a point of origin, it sort of works like that. Or you can look at the image to the side to see what 3-Dimensional space looks like.

I hope you find this sort of thing interesting and are willing to look into it more yourself. There are infinite amounts of information on the internet and I recommend you check into it. Enjoy

Killer Convited and put to Death

Christopher Scott Emmett was put to death by the state of Virginia tonight, he was 36 years old. Now this doesn't sound like much of a story so far, but just you wait.

In 2001, Mr. Emmett was convited of killing his co-worker with a brass lamp so he could steal his money and buy crack cocaine with it. I am 100% against what this man has done. I do not agree with it by any means. I don't condone murder, drugs or theft.

But what makes me think, "Hey, that's pretty harsh" is the fact that this man being put to death for this crime. This may sound weird coming from me from those who know me. Everyone knows that I'm a conservative, I'm for capital punishment, I'm by no means a liberal, hippie tree hugger. But even to me this punishment doesn't feel like it fit the crime. Hell, I even think life in prison would be too extreme for this crime.

EVERYONE has their addictions and vices. Unfortunately some are addicted to drugs. Everyone can change. I'm sure we all know or knew someone who is on drugs at one point in our lives and can attest to this. What Mr. Emmett did was wrong and I feel bad for the victims family. There are just far worse crimes and criminals out there who should get the death penalty and don't.

My eyebrow is definitely lifted when it comes to Virginia and asking "Why?"

An 8 year old boy was given a couple of weeks to live, proposed to his "special friend" who was also 8 years old. Their parents threw a mock wedding for them and the little boy died a little while later.

I'm actually pretty sad. I'm sure the kid was a very sweet and loving kid.

Job Assessment

As some of you may know, I am vigorously looking for a job. It's been an extremely hard battle but one that I will overcome. Even in today's economy. From time to time I may share my experiences with you, whether it be good or bad. Here is a funny one for the day.

I'm taking my job assessment test with Chase Bank, here is the question and one of the possible answers provided:

With the highly anticipated sequel to Christopher Nolan's 'Batman Begins', comes an even darker movie. Many blog writers and movie experts writing about this movie, which comes out tomorrow, mainly focus their titles based off the movies name or from the hero himself Batman. This writer is focusing on the true star of the film... The late Heath Ledger who played the Joker. It really takes a tremendous actor to outshine the hero of a movie.

One review paints a haunting description of the joker that is definitely worth sharing.

Heath Ledger's mesmerizing, scary-funny performance begins with the creepiness of his image: the greasy long hair, the makeup that looks as if he'd drawn it on with crayons, then messed it with tears. That ghostly rotting paint job covers his scarred smile (explained by a backstory that gives you the willies, even if he just made it up), and the disturbing thing is that when Ledger's Joker talks, with those ''Ehhh, what's up, Doc?'' vowels that make him sound like Al Franken. crossed with a nerdish pedophile, you realize that the icky sloshing sound you hear is him sucking on his cheeks; he uses his attachment to those scars to fuel his sadistic (and masochistic) whims.

Deaf shouting match

Cops were called on two deaf women who were in a loud shouting match. One woman was arrested after assaulting the cops.

Can you imagine how comical this event must have been? I can guarantee you that 4 out of 5 citizens attending this battle of sound peed themselves.

So you want to know a little bit more about me, huh? Well in getting to know anyone there are 5 basic questions you ask. Who? What? When? Where? and Why? So let's start with that and go from there shall we?

WHO: I am a 28 year old male. (As I write this I am 27, but my birthday is up in 2 weeks, so what's the point, right?). I am originally from the west coast. I was born in Las Vegas and lived there over half the span of my life. The other half has been spent in Northern California in the suburbs of Sacramento which are very nice, very educated and I do miss it.

I currently reside in San Antonio, TX with my Beautiful Wife and two beautiful kids, Shawn who will be 5 at the end of this year and Emma who will be turning 3 the day before New Years Eve. I pity any future boyfriend she may have because they are going to have a very difficult time with me. She's going to be a heart breaker! My wife and I have been married for one year and just recently reached our One Year Anniversary and I couldn't be happier.

WHAT: Although this kind of seems like a silly question you ask someone when trying to get to know them, I'll do my best. What this page is about are my attempts to write down my thoughts and opinions, whether it's serious or humorous or creative. I want to leave my mark on the world again even if it's a minor spec on the face of a Giant.

This is my second attempt at a blog. The last blog was fun, but I wasn't happy with my content, style or writing. This is my attempt at perfecting myself and my skills and enjoy what I'm doing.

WHEN: This blog obviously started in the last few days of June 2008. We've already established that I had a previous blog that I had from 2007 to the beginnings of 2008.

WHERE: Already covered this but I'm on blogger.com on my self-built PC which saved me thousands of dollars (Geico should hire me) by building it myself in San Antonio, TX

You may ask yourselves, wait, you can build your own PC and save money doing it? Yes! Not only can you build your own PC and save hundreds to thousands of dollars but you can do it with ZERO experience and do it with ease. I can't begin to tell you how easy it is. The total cost of my PC was roughly $1,000. If I was to look at my custom computer at popular places like Dell or Alienware they would charge me between $5500 to $6000. Yes, I'm so insanely proud of this fact that I devoted an entire paragraph with links and pictures for it!

WHY: Although I hinted as to why already, Let's finish this 20 questions (I now there are only 5) barrage off already. Just like anyone who creates a journal or a diary or a blog. I want to get my thoughts down. The great thing about a Blog or Weblog, as it's uncommon original term, is I can share it with tens of people, hundreds of people or thousands of people every day! People can learn from my life experiences and opinions and I can learn from theirs. It's a win-win situation.

Well I hope you enjoyed my mini-story about myself. As you can tell I'm very long winded and opinionated. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day on here.

I'd definitely like for my new blog to be the most epic blog on the blogosphere. But reality smacks me in the face and I know that wont be true. But I enjoy writing and I enjoy touching the lives of the few people that do read what I have on my mind.

This blog is kind of a new project from an older blog I had here on blogger. I just was not jiving with the name completely and decided I wanted a change.

I'd love to get out there and e-socialize as much as I can to build a greater fan base. I may attempt to do so if time permits. So on that note, let's start this blog off the right way and make it epic the only way I know how... with epic music!
